Explore some of the local's favourite spots on our epic Four Lake Loop ride. Start your adventure by winding your way up the Gold Digger trail, past Lake Kirkpatrick, then around the stunning Moke Lake. The trail then loops down to Lake Dispute and then to a fun flowy descent of the Phoenix trail. Your ride comes out at Wilson Bay where you'll navigate through 7 Mile Scenic Reserve along Lake Whakatipu and have the option to spend extra time riding the many trails at 7 Mile Bike Park before you finish your day.
Starting in the beautiful Gibbston Valley, we’ll take a rough backcountry road up to Coal Pit Saddle, passing through farmland and the remnants of old mining ventures as we head into the mountains. The summit of Mt Rosa (1322m) provides incredible 360-degree views towards Queenstown, the mighty Kawarau Gorge and the back of the remote Remarkable Ranges. We end at one of Gibbston's many wineries or the historic pub.
Our journey begins with a scenic drive to the top of the Crown Range road which overlooks the stunning Whakatipu Basin and greater Queenstown area. From here we start our ride by climbing up a well-formed farm track towards Mt Allen (1492m) and are rewarded with views towards the Kawarau Gorge and Mt Cardrona. The trail then follows the undulating ridgeline until we finally crest Quartz Knoll (1593m) for more impressive views across the rolling Pisa Range. Then it’s a seemingly never-ending, but immensely fun, descent of around 1000m to the Cardrona Valley and a well-deserved beer in the oldest pub in New Zealand.
An epic e-bike adventure! With a spectacular 20 min helicopter flight from Queenstown to the summit of the Dunstan Mountains this ride offers the perfect mix of high alpine 4x4 track, 150 year old gold miners trails, undulating climbs & fast, flowing descents. After a traversing pedal along the top of the mountain range, you'll descend down into alpine tussock & farmland with stunning views over the Upper Clutha basin. A few short climbs along the way as you ride a total of 27 km all the way down to Lake Dunstan, where we can swim, rock jump and / or enjoy a cold beverage before a scenic drive back to Queenstown. Please note we also do this trip as an analogue heli-bike option.
We can also provide guided e-bike rides, trips and tours for any Queenstown trails and surrounding areas, including Fernhill Loop, 7 Mile, Ben Lomond and Coronet Peak.
